Borer Oberer is made up of the creative duo, Raphael Borer and Lukas Oberer. They both discovered their passion for painting when they were young and the medium of graffiti played an important role in the youth of the artists, both from Basal, Switzerland.
A love of experimentation and the continuous exploration of the boundaries of their subjects form the basis of the collective exchange. To escape the often restrictive format of the canvas, their works can be seen on buildings, large scale murals and anywhere that pushes the boundaries of where and how we view their art.
In search of new ways to collaborate and create something greater than the sum of their individual works, they adopt optical techniques such as the lenticular screen, thereby creating illusions of depth, time and ultimately producing a new, overall composition.
Today, their works are known far beyond the borders of Switzerland and can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the world. Since 2013 they have been working in the famous Kesselhaus Studios in Weil am Rhein, Germany. BORER/OBERER WEBSITE
